National Network for International Programs Alumni Misr

About the unit

The National Network Unit for International Programs – Alumni Misr: It is a governmental unit established by Ministerial Decree No. 152 of 2021 and administratively affiliated to the Central Administration for Minister’s Affairs at the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Central Administration of Parliament and Civic Education. On the International Youth Day corresponding to August 12, 2021, the unit will officially launch, under the patronage of the Prime Minister, H.E Dr. Mustafa Madbouly. The unit works as a major governmental platform in a coordination framework with ministries, agencies and civil society organizations.

About the network

The National Network for International Programs – Alumni Misr: It is an electronic platform that gathers young people who have previously represented Egypt abroad, whether in scholarships or in international youth exchange programs "cultural programs, youth conferences, forums and seminars concerned with the field of youth work" through the Ministry of Youth and Sports or ministries and local and international bodies. The main purpose of the National network is to network the graduates of these international conferences, forums and youth programs with each other, and to exchange experiences with their peers who will participate in international programs in the future, relying on modern technology.

Founder of the unit

:Youssef Aroog

Born in North Sinai, Egypt, he holds a Bachelor of Arts and Education from Al-Azhar University and studied leadership and peacebuilding at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. He is a researcher specializing in international experiences in youth studies and policies and a representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the Seventh Arab-European Forum on Youth, Peace and Security in Hungary by Ministerial Resolution No. (453 of 2019).

Unit tasks

  • Establishing an electronic platform that gathers young people who have previously represented Egypt abroad, whether in scholarships or in international youth exchange programs “cultural programs, youth conferences, forums and seminars concerned with the field of youth work” through the Ministry of Youth and Sports or ministries and local and international bodies.
  • Increasing the representation of Egyptian youth in international programs and forums.
  • Providing new insights and ideas on the development of international youth exchange and youth work.
  • Contribute to achieving the sixteenth and seventeenth goals of sustainable development and the second and eighth goals of Egypt's Vision 2030.

Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt Vision 2030

The establishment of the unit align with the Egypt 2030 plan in the second goal: justice, social integration and participation, Empowering women and youth, enhancing the spirit of loyalty, and belonging to the Egyptian identity and the eighth goal: strengthening Egyptian leadership, supporting the strengthening of partnerships regionally and internationally. The establishment of the unit matches the goals of sustainable development, especially in the seventeenth goal, which is the partnership for development.

:Terms of joining the network

  • Nationality: The applicant must be Egyptian.
  • Age: The applicant should be between 16-35 years old.
  • Travel: The applicant must have represented Egypt abroad at least once for the purpose of participating in an international program.
  • Commitment: The applicant is committed to participating in the network's activities and events and is ready to abide by its policy.

We welcome and encourage young Egyptian women between the ages of 16 and 35 who have traveled outside Egypt at least once for the purpose of participating in: scholarships, youth exchange programs, international conferences, forums and seminars to join the network by filling in the online application through this link

:After registration

Only those accepted will be contacted within 60 days of registration, a comprehensive introductory seminar will be held on the unit, network, and activities, and all questions expected of applicants will be answered.
